  1. Whilst not related to the Linden Homes bit, the wilderness regions actually have some Easter Eggs on them, worth taking a look.

First bit, when you enter these regions, enable fly over-ride as if you fall in the river, it's a LONG walk out.

    Tapir http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Tapir/70/119/25 silly hat quest.
go in the cave, wait 5 seconds, and area search for flute, click to take a copy.  go to the pit and play it.

pull lever on the wall and off you go. (for this one, you'll need a swear jar).

  2. worth mentioning, that if you think an area of Linden Land has an unsuitable auto return timer, you can always ask via ticket to get this reviewed.

I've had varying success with this over the years of hassling them, I mean asking them.

One of my "projects" a few years ago was getting more rezz zones added to the roads, during this I also flagged a few with very short timers.  Some were amended, others left "as -is".

Despite being an extreme introvert, I would much rather have an uninvited visitor than get booted from a parcel. There's always a chance that visitor might become a new, interesting friend. There is zero chance that getting booted from an empty parcel will be a rewarding experience.

But to repeat myself yet again: I'm not saying folks who don't want visitors shouldn't be able to screen them out but it would have been way better if those parcels weren't intermixed with parcels belonging to those eager to welcome explorers. It's was just bad design, it made Mainland a game of competitive misanthropy, and it turns out that's not a big draw.

My view has always been simple.  My land, My zero second orb.

My immediate neighbours, by mutual agreement are on my white list, as I am on theirs.

I don't care if someone starts crying about being booted, 0 second orbs are 100% perfectly legal, we have houses at various levels, so I am exercising my right to protect my privacy.

If you have a problem with this, then stick to flying over Linden roads etc. where you have every right to fly.

Flying over my land? Nah, not going to happen.  I pay for it, so I choose to exercise my right to my privacy.

Ps my forum block list stands at 12 pages, so I will only see worthwhile responses and not keyboard warriors.

  4. so it worked fine with another avi just not this specific one?

sounds like an issue with something you're wearing, so I'd try the following.

Open the viewer (do NOT log in), turn off RLV (if not using the LL viewer).

Clear your cache, and close the viewer.

Open the viewer again, but log into a specific region - Baronial Castle.  Scripts are turned off here, so it's a good place to reload your inventory.

After your inventory has reloaded, change your entire outfit.

Then try and teleport to any other region, and see if this has fixed it.

  5. Well, I'd hate to see false info posted, but I asked about this at last week's community meeting, they suggested (note: not confirmed) first quarter 2024 for a closed beta.

I wonder how we users can get onto that trial.  It would be nice to know, and as I work shifts in RL I'd certainly like to give it a hop.

    This.

It actually works. You just can't dwell on it, or it takes longer.

    Mine's 12 pages long.

Believe me, on the very rare occasions I'm on here, reading threads is SO much more enjoyable,

Hehehe, is it a Vendetta or am i just doing the sensible thing and giving avatars their much deserved complexity.

What never ceases to amaze me, besides SL underpants, is people tend to forget that people are making these TPV on their own dime, and underpants.

Nobody's making them make underpants or viewers, it's a genuine love for SL.

  8. I mapped this during my Easter Eggs Quest during Covid.

The door at the bottom of the stair well opens by clicking the seashell on the wall next to it, or cam through and press the seashell on the other side which is the exit.  Or do what I do, and cheat.  At the landing spot on cape ekim, there is a pile of rocks.  Use a tiny avi and you can fall through these rocks and bypass that long passageway.

Go into the cave, until you come to the puzzle door.  At this point I recommend a good swear jar as you'll need it.  That puzzle is a *BLEEP* to do.  Just cam through the door and you'll see a button on the other side which you can just press and it opens.

There are some hidden prizes within, an egg thingy in the central fountain, and look among the water for a green panel.  Click on the floor and it opens into another secret passage, go down those stairs until you find Professor Linden.  If you click his briefcase you get a copy, full of goodies, most notably a pair of Linden Underpants with the LL logo on them and go-faster stripes.

The actual dragon's mouth is more ornamental, and I could never work out anyway to open it and the Mole who created it, is long gone from sl.

    Have fun in there.

Sidenote: there are MANY similar quests in SL to these (Linden owned ones).  if you'd like some information on them, please feel free to drop me a line inworld as I'm virtually never on the forums these days.  Only popped on to answer this when someone mentioned it to me.

  9. There's ALWAYS something to do.

My toilet collection has kept me busy since february 2008

I often find myself a "project" to do in sl, (read: entails pestering the living daylights out of support).

There was my "Easter Eggs" project during lockdown (mapping secret ares on linden owned land), and that was passed to various inworld groups, and forum threads for people to enjoy.

My "rezz zone rectifier" project, where I mapped all of the sl roads and plagued support for dozens of new rez zones to open up waterways, mountains, snowland etc for people to enjoy.
