  1. I can't get rid of mine that are showing up that way. I have deleted them and they come back. I have resynched the magic boxes with the items deleted out of them and they still come back. I am just hoping they will eventually go away.
  2. I'm not sure if it will help you or not, but I have never been able to clear my cart by making the quantity fields empty (perhaps it is a particular browser thing) but I can always clear the cart by entering zero (specifically) into the fields. As I stated, it may not help but it may be worth a try if you haven't already.
  3. It's not that huge a deal, but it is annoying to have a group of ghost items in my Marketplace inventory. Here's what happened in what order: I repackaged the sales items into new folders instead of a box to send to the SLM for Direct Delivery. I uploaded the new items to the SLM and reassociated the listings to match. I deleted the old unassociated boxed items from the Marketplace inventory. I deleted the in-world items from the magic box and then deleted the magic box once it was finished with its "blue" update. I logged out of the SLM and then when I logged back in the old boxed items showed up again in the unassociated items section. I deleted those and signed out to give the SLM a day to think about it. I logged in again today and the items showed back up in the SLM AGAIN! Very annoying when you are trying to finish a ton of updates and these products are sitting there in the middle of what you are working on. To make matters worse, thanks to Internet Explorer or some other Web bug, when I pulled down the drop-down selector for the group and hit Delete, it was actually on Create Listing" so now I have 43 item listings that I can't get rid of at all. Any tips? My Marketplace is an in-house mess! Thanks!
  4. Another possibility for your clothing problem is an alpha sorting issue. I had this problem on my viewer (which IS a mesh viewer) where the clothing layer - which is mesh - would not appear over the top of the base body mesh. You could see the ghosted outline around the edges of the body mesh where the clothing layer was, but the clothing was invisible if it contained any alpha properties (32-bit TGA). This happened on the previous LL Viewer 3 release ~before~ the update when the Marketplace went to Direct Delivery. It did not happen on the Beta Viewer that was recent at that time. Since the Release Viewer update after the SLM:DD addition, I have not had this problem. That is not to say others are not affected anymore. Anyone could be using a viewer that does support mesh but, for some reason on their system, does not appropriately sort alphas, causing your clothing to become invisible to them. This would also explain why they might have been able to see just your naughty parts - which might ~not~ have been your system avi parts, but your mesh parts showing under your alpha clothing. When I had this issue I was not able to do anything to fix it. Clearing the cache, relogging a lot, putting graphics settings anywhere, adjusting the Debug settings - all nothing. It did not resolve itself until the Release Viewer update. If you still have this issue, try another viewer. Try the Beta viewer or Niran's Viewer. Chances are, something will work. As for others who see you without clothing... you really can't do much to resolve their issue aside from cleverly convicing them to try another viewer themselves. BTW - Petites parts are all mesh (as far as the sanctioned releases of the Petite Mesh Avatars) and do not contain any sculpts or prims. There may be some outfits that use prims or sculpts, but for the most part, even the outfits are mesh since Yabusaka provides developers with a mesh template on which to design fully-compatible clothing items. Hope some of this helps.
  5. Allie, I feel your pain! It has been a while since you posted, so I was wondering if you resolved your issue. I have a similar problem... rather, I HAD a similar problem - until it got progressively worse as time went on. It started off just as you described, but it grew to crash after a mere few seconds logged in to an area with more than just a few prims or avatars nearby. I won't bother with posting my system specs, etc. because it quite frankly does no good to put them here. What I will offer, though, is that I have put every setting possible (including from the Debug menu) down to their least demanding setting all at once. No help. I tried this even after I bought a brand new video card, power supply and tested every component in my system for a hardware problem and/or non-updated-driver. All up to date and working like a champ. Still, the SL crashes got worse. I have reverted back to the all-defaults-on-the-viewers (yes, I have tried at least a dozen different current viewers) settings and revisited all the suggestions I could find on the forums out there. The JIRA is also a dead end due to the premature closure of this issue on listings that address it - every last one without a valid solution. Of course it does not (typically) hurt to follow the advice of those who replied to your message, it is pretty obvious they did not read your entire post and it looks to me like none of them realized they made suggestions to try or check things you already have tried or checked into. So, any luck with anything? I'd love to know because SL has become a very solitary place for me since I can't go anywhere or meet with anyone. I can't even visit my own store anymore to do maintenance unless I am logged in using someone else's computer. So, on my lonely building platform, I can enjoy a high framerate with shadows, ambient occlusion, full anti-aliasing and depth of field. The minute (okay, the second) I go somewhere else, even with all those whistles and bells turned off, I crash.
  6. All very good points. My issue with the new implementation is not so much with the way it is supposed to work, but with the confusion it causes and how sellers are not using it appropriately. Many (MANY) sellers are listing their full-perms items on the SL Marketplace with their user license spelled out in the item description. Yet, the user license option in the permissions fields is stricken-through. I performed a brief search on the SL Marketplace for an example and the very first listing I pulled up clearly shows the problem: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Himekos-Business-in-a-pack-3-18-High-Detailed-Mini-Skirts-with-Petticoats-and-a-Guide-to-modify-them/628984 As you can see from the above listing, the user license indicator implies that the buyer does not have permission to use these products in any resale capacity. However, if you read the description, it clearly states that the buyer does have permission to use the items in their own products and resell those derivative goods. If the seller intends to allow derivative works and some sort of user license, having the user license field stricken-through is a great way to inhibit potential sales as honest users are not going to want to take the chance that that indicator might override anything that appears in the description. Why take that chance? Although I believe the new implementation is a generally good idea for conveying information to potential buyers efficiently, it is only good when all (or even most) sellers use it properly. I find that too many do not and a brand new cloud of uncertainty is looming over the market. The bottom line is, I agree that it is not useful against dishonesty - but the issue I have is that it has added an element of inhibition and confusion for those who are honest - and is hurting sellers who may not know how to properly use the indicator.
