What graphics mode are you running, regular mode or Lighting and Shadows/Advanced Lighting Model/Deferred Rendering? I've heard of people who crash with one viewer with the new AMD drivers and not other viewers. Have you tried changing graphics modes? Doesn't matter. Minimum, ultra, any settings at all crash. All on, all off, incrementally turned on one at a time, nothing works. It's been this way for quite some time. As I said, 13.4 was stable, I believe the 13.5 beta might've been sta
  2. Firestorm seems to run on the 13.8beta2 drivers. As of this post, all viewers mentioned in my previous post still crash on login.
  3. I'm having an issue on a system with an AMD Radeon HD7850 running on Windows 7 64-bit. With anything but the 13.4 official drivers and anything prior, which are 4 months out of date now, SL loads into the world, some parts of the world load, but my AV does not. Within about 5 seconds, my viewer crashes without warning. This happens on Niran's, Exodus, Catznip, and both the current and beta LL viewers. This has been happening for months with anything beyond the 13.4 AMD release. Up til now, I've had no pressing reasons to update, but as of 13.8 beta 2, there are significant performance and l

With anything but the 13.4 "official" drivers and anything prior, which are 4 months out of date now, SL loads into the world, some parts of the world load, but my AV does not. Within about 5 seconds, my viewer crashes without warning. This happens on Niran's, Exodus, Catznip, and both the current and beta LL viewers. Up til now, I've had no pressing reasons to update, but as of 13.8 beta 2, there are significant performance and latency improvements across a number of new games, and it's forced my hand to update my drivers,
  5. The problem persists for me on 13.1 as well. Variable FPS boost across the board for all other 3D applications, but this Atmospheric Shaders bug is still an issue in SL. Linden Labs, please stop pretending to be game developers and fix this. ATI support has always been iffy, but this is just inexcusable.
  6. Bumping as I haven't seen anyone else with a similar issue, and there were no further responses to my post. Still on Catalyst 12.11, though the problem persists on earlier drivers. No graphical artifacts present in other 3D applications outside of Second Life.
  7. I'm having this same issue. Sapphire Radeon HD7850 on the December 3rd build of the Catalyst 12.11 beta drivers. I had it with a malfunctioning card that was also giving graphical artifacts, which I RMA'd, but the problem persists with the new one. Old Catalyst drivers don't solve the problem, either. I imagine this isn't the drivers, but an incompatibility between the HD 7000 series and Second Life.
