But what I noticed when I started to read the Forum posts few hours later in the evening is that again I get signed out randomly after few minutes from the sign in.
So, the deleting of the cookies was only a very temporary solution. :smileymad:

Ok, next step:I blocked cookies from "secondlife.i.lithium.com" and will observe how things develop now.
Interestingly if I block cookies from:"secondlife.com" it prevents log in to the dashboard
"community.secondlife.com" it prevents signing in to the community area
"support.secondlife.com" it also prevents signing in to the community area
[ETA]Well, I noticed within few minutes that blocking cookies from "secondlife.i.lithium.com" does not help.
I still get randomly signed out. Pfftt... :smileyfrustrated: -

I did that too. No lithium cookies left.
PS. Since deleting cookies related to "secondlife" and "lithium" I've been staying signed in already for fifty minutes. Before deleting the cookies the first unwanted sign out happened after few minutes. Crossing fingers. :matte-motes-smile:

Thanks for the tip Freya. I deleted all cookies referring to "secondlife" (and tons of others too). I didn't disable creation of new cookies, yet. I'll observe how the sign in / and random sign out behaves now. 0.o

Perhaps Linden Lab could make a favour and rename that tab to "Questions & Answers", there's plenty of space for that longer name. Might be that more people would then realize that "Ah, there I can post a question" because the tab says so. I wonder why the "Question" part was omitted from the tab name?

While signing in to the Second Life Forums you might have noticed that we have implemented a new feature. From your dashboard you select "Community Forums" or directly from a link https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Forums/ct-p/Forums you get presented with this:
From there you will sign in. And when you have done so you get presented with the Blogs.

We think this is a great feature and we will keep it. What comes to the (unnecessary) BUG report we will soon handle it and mark it as "Status: Closed" and "Resolution: Works as expected". HiLlazarusLlong!Lindens do not normally participate in conversations in the User Forums
The only time I have to log into the forums is when my session times out if I am away too long.You can try the standard fixes of clearing your browsers cache and cookie files then logging back into the forums and allowing the cookie to be re-set in the browser to see if that resolves the issue.Hi Dakota. The forum sign in process is badly broken. Clearing browser cache and cookies help nothing at all. Somebody in Linden Lab has changed something and has broken things. The issue appears to affect everybody, you can see this from the froum links in the BUG report.
It would be really cool if the sign in process was fixed back to the earlier state when everything worked all right. :smileyhappy:
A BUG report has been been created on March 4, 2015. No Linden has had time to do anything about it so far. The BUG report status is still "Awaiting Review". You guys must be very busy there with other issues I guess?

Check do you have "Show Hover Tips" enabled in: Preferences, User Interface, General.

Yes, you're right. It's good to keep couple of different viewers installed at all times. Then it's very easy to test is the problem a particular viewer issue or is it something else. Trying only a single viewer is a bit like keeping one's head in a bag.

The BUG in the Forum has been reported on April 4, 2015. Status is still: "Awaiting Review".
Maybe they have more important things at hand instead of fixing the forums? Grrr... :smileymad: :smileysad: -

Anyway, @ Lillani:
There must be something going on in your system which causes this problem. For me it works perfectly without any problems in Second Life viewer as well as in Firestorm viewer.

How do you make words in textures crisp and clear?

The texture file size on disk has nothing to do with how much graphics memory the texture uses inworld.
The only things what determine the graphics card memory usage are:
• texture size in pixels
• texture bit depth (32bit vs 34bit)
So it does not matter at all whether you use PNG or TGA file format in uploading the textures (JPG should be avoided because it degrades the quality). And as was mentioned already, at upload the textures are converted to JPEG2000 format what SL uses internally in storing the textures on the servers.
