OOPS! I meant I CAN'T  find the page with 'me' at the top. i just joined and am TOTALLY confused. I had an avatar and now can't even find her. I'm thinking I don't have the right computer/program capacity to download stuff?

If you have the view with "Me" at the top, you are using the viewer.  Evidently, you have downloaded and installed it, so you're doing fine.  You are the incredibly attractive person standing in the middle of the screen, with your back to the camera.  Now you can start learning some basci skills.  Read here >>> http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Second-Life-Quickstart/ta-p/1087919

Download and install the viewer (see the link in my previous response here) if you haven't already, run the program, and you should be able to log in and see "Me."
