Not as advertised

I bought a (very expensive) house but folder I received contains and incomplete house and what seem like spare parts.  I have contacted the vendor but they have not replaced the house.  What can I do?

Hello Lempadis and welcome to SL Forums. If you have already contacted the ventor and he/she denied to replace the house you can't do much. Read the instructions about how you can rezz and use the house again. If the house looks "incomplete" rezzing it on the ground, try to rezz it first on a platform some metres higher. It is possible to correct the issue this way. If not, write a bad rewiew (assuming that you didin't get what you purchase) and find another house.

When buying things such as houses, it's always best to go inworld to see them in person. That's no guarantee that the box you get will contain what it should, but it makes it a little safer of a bet. If there is no inworld store for you to view what you're buying, when it comes to houses, I'd pass it up and find another.

This would be considered by LL to be a resident-to-resident dispute, and not something in which they will involve themselves. Buyer beware, and all that - LL takes no responsibility for user-created content. Give the creator some time to respond, and if they don't, find another house, put the creator of the first on your "do not buy from" list, and move on.

Sounds to me that what you are getting is a box with a rezzer and you are opening the box and copying the contents into your inventory, this is incorrect. What you have to do is rez the box, then click it and on the screen you will get a menu and click on rez. Things like houses cannot be linked entirely due to SL limits so they are often sold packed in these type of rezzers.
