Hello Teresalee and welcome to SL Forums. It is an old bug which is back again and affects many residents. Here is a jira: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-28209 You can vote there, watch, add your comment and follow the suggestion of Alexa Linden:

For avatar which are stuck "ghosting" in Second Life, thus preventing logging back in, you will need to file a Support Ticket so they can unstick the your individual account.

In addition check out this link: http://status.secondlifegrid.net/2012/01/28/post1553/ and follow the suggestions

Summary: Try to change your login location but it is does not work,  submit a ticket under account issues --> second life web login issues and wait for a reply. If you are a premium is preferable to use LiveChat. You find the option on the right. Good luck.

You said you could log in Teresa. That's good. Now maybe you have to spend a little time to learn how to get started and how to use the ropes... I'm wishing you a beautiful SL! :smileyhappy:

Welcome to Second Life. We'll try to help you.

You say you have logged in and then can't (?) do anything... LoveAngel's answer shows we not sure what problem you are having. SVC-7632 is about not being able to login.

You need to give us more details about the problem you are experiencing for us to know what to tell you.

From the writing I am assuming English is not your first language. You can post using any of several languages. You can also try writing in your first language and using Google Translate to make an English version. Include both languages if you do use Google.

Some new SL users do not realize after the sign up process they must download the viewer and install it.

Some fail to check the system requirements to run SL. Older computers and laptops can have a problem trying to run SL.

If you have downloaded and checked system requirements then we need to know more about your system. When you open the viewer and before logging in, click Help->About and copy paste that information into your OP or a reply post in this thread.

What you mean by 'can't do anything' may mean something different to you than it does to us. Please expand on that. We need to know, does the world rez for you, can you see inside SL? Can you move around?

If you are thinking SL is a game and have the concept that there is something to achieve it may seem like you can't do anything. That may be a conceptual problem. The Sims is more of a game than SL. SL has games within it. I guess I'll say SL is a bit more like Mineshaft, which is still too much of a game analogy to help much.

SL has many  many games  inside it. With Second Life you can decide to build businesses, become a real estate baron, a fashion designer, a party person that goes clubbing, hire escorts, build houses, buildings, cars, weapons, games, whatever else you may imagine. If you are not the imaginative type and just want to be entertained... then there are live (as in RL live) music events and other forms of entertainment and events. There are lists of different types of detinations and a calenadar of events built into the viewer (viewer is what we call the downloaded SL software).

The possibilities in Second Life are pretty much infinite. If you are looking for a constrained game like Sims or WoW, you have not found it. But, there are games like those within SL.

Because of the infinite possibilities, SL is the first game where players can make significant RL money from SL. The 2011 Q4 stats are not out yet, or I missed seeing them. But in 2011 Q3 SL users sold about US$4.6 million of stuff. SL is the first game I know of where a 'player' made over 1 million US dollars in one year.

So your writing "I can do anything!" [sIC] is either true as written or you meant you CAN"T DO anything. Until we understand what you mean we can't help much.
