Question

i'm joint owner on some private land yet neither me nor those given the right to remove people can do it.  does this have something to do with the viewer (i'm using phoenix and so are the others) or is it an sl glitch?  there is no option showing up in the menu to remove unwanted people.  any help would be appreciated, thanks

You should have this option in the "about land" menu > "access". There are two boxes: authorized residents and banned residents. Clicking "add" will allow you to browse and fin the unwanted residents' names. If you feel this is a glitch in Phoenix, try using another viewer. Once you have se these access preferences in any viewer, they are recorded for all the others.

Edited for Typonese, lol.

It depends on what you mean with "joint owner". Simply being designated as joint owner on a rental box does not do it. You need to deed the land to a group and have the proper permissions to eject and ban on the group. If you are both owners of the group then you will have all the proper permissions by default.

Land can only have one "Owner". That is either the person who purchsed the land, or it is a group that the land is deeded to. If the land is deeded to a group, then the group has a role called "Owner", which one or more people can belong to. The only way you could be co-owner of land is for it to be group-owned land, and you are a co-owner of the group.

Someone who is already in the "Owner" role for a group can invite another person to the Owner role, but can not eject them from that role later - they must voluntarily leave that role. There are many other roles possible in group land, which can have various permission levels. Normally, you do not want most of the group members to be in the "Owner" role. It's really for the one person or small group of people capable of excercising full rights to the group's pand, including the right to sell group owned land, or buy land for the group.

If you are the group Owner (or a co-owner), then you can eject other people from any role in the group EXCEPT other Owners.

Normally, a group has only one "Owner" you would use the "Officer" group role for additional people with permission to add new group members or eject people from the group. If someone is not in the "Owner" role in a group, they can only invite others to the roles that they belong to themselves in the group. Officers can be given the permission to allow land access or add names to ban lists or eject banned people from the parcel of land owned by that group. Other group roles can also be given those permissions.
