I cant download second life says I need cpu with sse2 what does that mean?

I can't download second life says I need ''cpu with sse2'' what does that mean? and is there something I can down load for free to get this sorted? I was playing second life on the Laptop but it was very slow and kept crashing, now it will not let me put it on my main computer can anyone help?

Unfortunately it means that your computer is probably too old to run Second Life. The only viewer you could have used would have been viewer 1.23. But it's not available for download anymore.

SSE2, Streaming SIMD Extensions 2, is one of the Intel SIMD (Single Instruction, Multiple Data) processor supplementary instruction sets first introduced by Intel with the initial version of the Pentium 4 in 2001. If your processor is Intel prior to Pentium 4 or Amd prior to Athlon 64, is not supporting SSE2, so you are unable to download the last version of V3. Give a try to download Singularity Viewer or Cool Viewer.

fahimkhan144, what is your problem? Have you downloaded the Second Life Viewer yet? If not, please scroll down to the bottom of this screen, and click on "Download Second Life".

 

If you have already downloaded the Second Life Viewer, and have attempted to log in, what message do you get on your screen?
