Hello Damien and welcome to SL Forums. We have currently issues in world. Please see: http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ Try to log in a different region like Smith, Exeuxoa or Anzere. If the problem remains, make some patience and watch this space for updates.

@Jazzijordan. I am sorry I was unable to help you much inworld.  After the second time we went through the clearing cache process, you seemed to have additional issues, many crashes.  However, what would be very useful to other forum advisers is if you could perhaps start a brand new thread, stating (1) your issue (2) what you have done so far to fix it, ie the clearing cache, character test, rebake etc, and (3) your system specifications, (4) that error message you were getting each time you tried to wear your favourite skin - the corrupt file issue.

I was a bit stuck, I will admit.  The error message you were getting sounds similar to something that was happening to another resident a year ago; this, along with the fact your inventory point blank refused to load fully, and also that LL have been working on the servers, with issues such as inventory, suggests to me LL may have to step in and fix this for you.
