group chats

How do I stop all the group chats from popping up in my viewer? i am using Viewer 2 (3) I don't want the group notices to stop. just the group chats that are so annoying. I want to know about the sales and such but I am not interested in reading or hearing the group chat. if I disable group notices, will that disable all the sale notices also?

Hello Blueridge. Show the list with your groups, in V3 is Menu Communicate --> My Groups. Right click on a group --> View Info --> Disable "Recieve Group Notices" --> Save. Repeat same process with the other groups you want.

This is a bit confusing, but here goes:

Group Notices;  Enable or disable in the Group Info - General tab - Check or uncheck Receive Group notices

Group Chats: Enable or disable in Me - Preferences - Chat tab - Check or uncheck Enable incoming chat popups for Group Chats

So what you are asking requires number 1 to be enabled and number 2 to be disabled

Group chat can be distracting, especially if you belong to some chatty groups (which I do).  However, I do not disable group chats, OR group notices.  I might miss something important!

If a group chat starts up, and I am too busy to listen to it, I simply close it.  It should not open up again until you re-log.
