Need to ban AV if a member of a group

In need of a script that will allow the reading of a notecard (config file), and then access the groups a AV is in, and if the AV has this group then not allow them entrance to that parcel/region/area.

Not sure if this can be done or not.

Two things:

1. This group is not for requesting scripts, but for discussion scripting issues - if you want a script made for you, turn to Wanted or Inworl Employment
2. No - it can't be done via script. It's not possible to find out which groups an ava is in.

It is not possible.

The only thing a script can do, for dececting an avatar's group affiliations, is to check if the avatar is currently wearing a group tag for the exact same group that the prim the script is in is set to or deeded to.

There is no way to get a list of the groups they belong to, nor is there a way to detect if they belong to a specific group whose tag they are not currently wearing.

You actually could get a list of the user's groups into your script by accessing their profile through world.secondlife.com with remotely hosted php and then return that value to the script as an llHttpRequest reply, though that would only work on groups the user had left visible of course.
