how do I send my picture to my friend?

I want to send a picture of me from my computer to my friend on second life but don't know how.

Upload your picture from your computer to Second Life (JPG, PNG, TGA or GIF). It will go to your textures folder. Open your friend's profile, just drag the picture on his profile.

Before you pass the picture on I would suggest that you right click it, select edit and check the permissions.  I wouldn't pass a picture without disabling the copy, mod and/or transfer permissions.  Otherwise you have no way of knowing where that picture could end up.

Especially if the photo is, in any way at all, revealing (or can be construed to be revealing).  This is the Internet.  Hearts and careers are broken every day due to trusting someone you have no way of knowing who they really are in real life.

Hello rockandrollsue. If you want to send a snapshop (your avatar's picture) you can also, click the snapshot button and choose "Email" --> type your friend's mail and send it there. If it is a real pic and you have saved it in your computer you can send it directly to his/her mail.
