What kind of gift card did you buy? Was this in a store in RL, I'm assuming?

As far as I'm aware, LL still doesn't make official SL gift cards, except perhaps in a very few select countries. I don't think SL accepts other gifts cards, either, but I've never managed to get a definitive answer on that.

If you bought a gift card in RL, like a Visa gift card, you'll have to input the information on the card into your billing information. Go to your dashboard, "account," "billing information" and update the information there using what's on the card. See if LL will recognize it.
