Rival Destiny
What category are you wanting to explore as a business?
Sassy Romano
Just choose the nearest category if you're referring to the Marketplace items. If you have an inworld presence there's no "category" to choose from, you just open business and carry on.
Chelsea Malibu
There is or, at least there used to be, a section on the SL website about opportunities. As an entrepreneur, you have a few options where at the top of the list are: Land Owner/Land Baron Content Creator Service Industry (interior design, photography, landscaping, escorts, clubs, DJ) Reseller (resells others peoples product meaning it's more marketing than anything else) I chose home lighting for my field of expertise. I was a sim builder/manager who has created near 30 sims. One of the problems I kept running into was in finding the right lighting and especially chandeliers that didn't look like three prim alpha pictures. I wanted real looking chandeliers so, I made one like I needed. I got a few request for it so, I made some more and eventually put up a small shop on one of my sims. I had a few things I made but the lighting seemed to do the best. Here it is now, years later and I have a much larger store with a lot more inventory. I love designing unique lighting and furnishings that I would want in my own home, rl or sl. That's the key, doing what you love. SL is driven by one primary attribute, Creativity. A Linden executive long gone once told me, this is a word of creation and what you create is what you are [for the most part]. Find what you are best at and good luck, I am sure we would all love to hear how successful you are some day.

Sassy Romano
Gambling is not allowed in SL. That's probably why there's no category called "Gambling"
Chelsea Malibu
Yep, like Sassy said, there is no category and not because no one has thought of it yet. Years back we had a ton of casinos and SL banned them. Now a casino means getting banned in many case with games of chance. There are some provisions and why Zynga is ok, is beyond me since it just a another version of Bingo aka, game of chance. Today we call gambling, Breedables. NicolaeCristian
I don`t want make a casino. It`s a game where people can win money. like you say game of chance. hmm...If I make a store to make some money to me it`s ok but if I want make a simply game it isn`t. it`s just a game. It is their decision if they want to play or not. Hope you understand what I said here. I`m not so good at english
Sassy Romano
My advice would be to get legal council to explain in your language, the terms of the ToS so that it's clear and that you don't make a decision that could lead to you being banned.
