KB shopping in the Marketplace and delivery problems

I just notice they did edit some text in Knowledge Base about shopping in the Marketplace that could be the reason for people buying things while they are not logged to SL and making them to lose they purchases because the capped delivery.

Now you can read:

English is not my mother tongue, but reading this I understand that I can buy items while I'm not online and login later with no problems. Thought they should be logged while they are buying things :matte-motes-confused:
That could be the reason for lot of people asking for redelivery, saying they got messages about delivery capped and such things...

Those instructions will work properly for Direct Delivery. But you are correct Catwise, those instructions are not always correct for Magic Box delivery. Maybe they made the updates to the KB a bit too soon?

Saying that DD will solve things is counting chickens before they hatch.

I don't understand why, in the meantime, they can't just fix some of the instructions to reflect better procedure.

If they give me access, I'll do it for them.

It's complicated:

A purchase counts as an IM because of the way the purchases are sent, so IF you are offline and your IMs get "capped" (you have too many unread ones) the purchase will fail just like any IM.  I found out the hard way when I went on a buying spree and half my purchases failed.

IF you have your IMs forwarded to e-mail - as I do now - you can buy as much as you like, whether you are on or off line with no problems.

The problem is customers don't use to have their emails active for IM. KB didn't say you could buy while you are offline from SL until now and is crazy they change something like this when we have customers every day with delivery problems. The could at least reduce failures changing that in KB and advice to stay logged while they are buying ^^
