Have you asked the inworld Phoenix support group?  There are people available 24/7 to help you sort through issues.  What type of message do you get when you try to send an IM to someone? 

Yesterday, there were issues with group chats not remaining closed once one closed them.  Could have had something to do with the rolling restarts...who knows.
