ConnorJamesHammond
Hey everyone, A while back I visited a sim where they had a greeter, which was so lifelike I actually mistook it for a real Avi.I'd love to get one of these for my development, does anyone know what the best lifelike humanoid greeters are? Any links to the Marketplace would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance,Connor
PeterCanessa Oh
If you want something that looks like an avatar, instead of an object, and even has a name and profile just like an avatar then what you need is ... an avatar. There are a few people selling 'bot software - which is a custom program you run on your computer or server to automate an avatar in-world. Dresden Ceriano
My sister visited this place the other day (I was in her room watching atm)... House of Alisha. They have all kinds of cool autobots, but I'm not sure if they have what you're looking for. If you remember the sim, you could try going back and inspecting their greeter to find out who made it. ...Dres
ConnorJamesHammond
So would I just create a whole new avater? If so, how do I then get the scripts into it? Cofused! lol--||-

Peggy Paperdoll
What you are probably looking at is what is known as a "Bot". It's a real avatar (usually an alt of the business owner) that is set to "scripted agent" (that's so the avatar doesn't count toward traffic for the location). You would put the scripts for greeting and any animation you might want the bot to use in a prim and attach it to the bot (make it invisible with either a 100% transparent texture or use the build tools to make it invisible). The scripting forum would be a good place to find the scripts you want.
