If i buy an item like a new body, i just shows a s a box, how do i make it clothes?

Is it a scam?

Is it a issue?

You have to open the box to copy its content to your inventory. You mut be on a land where you are allowed to rez objects (go to a sandbox if you don't have land). See here about opening boxes:

Then click right on the shape, skin, etc, and choose "wear".

As valerie says, a lot of what we buy comes in a box and has to be unpacked.

Items either come in boxes or folders.  boxes need to be opened

When you buy from Marketplace almost all items are in a box.  If you buy in a store they can come in a folder or a box.  If it is a folder it will be mixed in with your other inventory folders, if it is in a box you will most likely find it in your objects folder.

You must open boxes by dragging the box icon out of your inventory onto the ground a little bit away from your avatar.  Then you right click on the box and choose copy to inventory.  This will move things out of the box and make a folder with the contents inside your inventory.

Then just open the clothing folder and click on one item and select wear...or drag the fold onto your avatar to wear the entire folder content, but this will knock off everything else you are wearing like hair and eye lashes

right click the box put in edit is there something in the contents tab inside the box if so you should be able to click the box again outside of edit and select open and receive the skin directly to your inventory placing it in a folder my suggestion is create folders for different things such as different kind of clothing folders formal casual etc etc skin folders shape folders can drag the folders into the main folder to organize your inventory and better keep track of your belongings also when you create the perfect outfit go to edit appearance and then bottom left make outfit name it and save it so it has it's own folder at top where you can wear it by right clicking that folder and selecting wear =) making outfit this way makes copies of the item even if the item is non copy this does not however mean you have two of the item it is more like a shortcut to that item good luck hope the new skin turns out as you wanted ^.^
