Hey I just started Second life today and I bought an fullbody Item to wear and it has textures, in the instructions it says to rez the items what is this and how do I do it? Please help?

You need to first go to a place where you can rez (or create) objects. Do a search for a sandbox

Find a bit of empty floor space and drag the object containing your clothes from your inventory to the ground.

Now right click on the object and from the pie menu, select 'Open'.

You will now see a window listing the contents of the object. Select the 'Copy to Inventory' option.

This will create a folder in your inventory that contains the items of clothing. To keep your inventory tidy left click on the new folder, and drag it into the clothing folder or whichever folder where you will remember it is to locate it next time in your inventory.

To wear the items. simply right click on each item and select 'Wear' from the menu. Each item will go to the correct part of your avatar's body.

Afterwards, please remember to delete the box you dragged to the ground.

Rez means 'drag it to the ground.'

If referring to looking at things, it could also mean whether or not something has fully appeared yet.

In this case, 'drag it to the ground.' Probably to open the box.

Rezzing an object by dragging it from inventory was the least intuitive part of SL for me. My expectation was to right-click the objects in inventory and get an option to 'drop' the object., adventure game style. It didn't help that the pie-menu for attached objects had/has a 'drop' option.

The best place I have found to do this is "The Changing Rooms"    To find them do a search under places.
