How can I join an sl community family?

Ive seen so many familys and wanted to be in one but I have no idea how i can be in a family, i dont wanna be in an vampire family though.

There's nothing official called a "family," but there are plenty of informal groups in SL that may use that term.  I'd suggest hanging around with people that you enjoy being with and see if you can join whatever group they are in.  If you don't know anyone yet, use your Search function to look for groups that sound interesting.  Contact a group's owner by IM and go from there.
