llSay and swirling particles

Is there a way to surpress the swirling particles that result when a scripted object speaks into local chat?  I know about using the debug setting effectScriptChatParticles to supress them in my own viewer, is there some way to turn it off for everyone?

No.  SL automatically generates swirlies whenever a scripted object speaks (llSay, llWhisper, llShout, llRegionSay, llRegionSayTo, andllOwnerSay all do that).  They are a client-side effect, so any debug switch you apply will only affect what YOU see. There are only two ways to beat it: (1) Don't speak  (2) Use llInstantMessage.
