What error message do you get? Have you tried using another browser?

It should be pretty easy:

Upgrading from basic to a premium account

To upgrade from a basic membership to a premium membership:

1. Log into the Second Life website.
2. Click Change Membership Plan.
3. Click Premium (Monthly, Quarterly, or Annual)
4. Click Save Changes.

What kind of error message are you getting?
