Honey Puddles
To receive money in second life, all you need to do is send the payer to your profile. https://my.secondlife.com/sarincyanide There's an option called "pay" under "actions" (though they'll need to have an SL account, and be logged in to see the "Actions" menu there. If you're dealing with inworld people, they should know how to open your profile and from there should be able to pay you. If you're dealing with outside people who don't have SL accounts, then you're reaslly asking them to go through an awful lot just to send you some money. In that case, you really do need to get set up with paypal, or one of the other online payment alternatives. Also, if you seriously expect people to send you money, the least you could do is fill out your profile with some information. Nothing says "take the money and run" like a blank profile. Bree Giffen
wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Billing_FAQ#How_do_I_setup_payment_with_PayPal.3F Basically, to pay you in lindens, your buyers would need to set up payment to SL with their credit card or paypal. They would need to buy lindens at whatever the current rate is, log in with their avatar and then pay you. There is also a $30 cap for the first month. It's quite a bit to do if they are not current SL users. The last time I bought lindens was a few years ago and it took less than a day to process. I have no idea how it is now. SarinCyanide
Wow, thank you. I didn't know my profile was blank. I guess it doesnt help that I'm still somewhat new. I'm going to fix that now. And thank you so much. It all confused me so much, but I knew other commisioners did this as well. Of course, I need to do my research first next time. Melita Magic
Check your Transaction History often. To do this, log in at www.secondlife.com main page. Click My Account. Click Transaction History. Enable it to view the past 500 transactions. Choose the earliest date in the first drop down menu. View. I advise sending them a copy and pasted note card with the record of their payment. Make that note card NO MODIFY. Then you both have proof they paid. And if they didn't, you can ask them: WHY NOT? Bree Giffen
If you shop at Amazon a lot (like I do) you can have people pay you via amazon payments (google it). You can use the money to buy stuff from Amazon or pay other people. Sorry, not very SL related.
