If choose to use another viewer other than SL, do i delete the SL game and just play from the viewer

i'm using MacOs and want to delete old SL viewer. Do i just delete the SL icon for the game and start over with just the viewer? or do i have to keep it on to connect with the game?

confused on how to eliminate old viewer.

You may have several viewers installed at once.  If you already have one of LL's viewers (V2, 1.23, or some other older viewer), you may keep it on your desktop or de-install it as you wish.  The BIG caution is that when you install a second or third viewer like Phoenix, Imprudent, Kirsten's, or Firestorm, you should be sure to designate a different cache folder on your hard drive for each viewer.  Having multiple viewers share the same cache location is a leading cause for inventory loss and avatar rezzing problems. 

ETA: If you do want to completely de-install a viewer, all you need to do is find the folder that the program is in (probably something like C:/Programs/Second Life if you are on a PC) and delete the entire folder.
