links to browser in sl give error message application not found and i cannot use

When I try to click on a link to my browser in sl, I receive an error message applicaiton not found.  I have Windows Vista and Internet Explorer 8.  It is very frustrating.  If you can help, I would appreciate it.  Thank you.

Did you happen to install Phoenix viewer and give it permission to change your browser association ?

If so,  you will have to reverse that if you can

Make sure you have  a good copy of JAVA installed. Frankly I think, maybe what your trying to do has been removed, poof it gone.
