SL crashed when I was logging in. Now when I try to reload it freezes at the Initialzing VFS stage I have not received any errror messages. Any idea as to cause or solution?

When I try to click on a link to my browser in sl, I receive an error message applicaiton not found. I have Windows Vista and Internet Explorer 8. It is very frustrating. If you can help, I would appreciate it. Thank you.
