I've been receiving this message for days. Can anyone tell me what this is about?

Do you only get that message when you are at a particular location? Does it stop if you teleport to a different region?

If so, it's not a system message, it's a local chat message being sent to you by some nearby object. Enable beacons and look for nearby scripted objects. Also enable CTRL+ALT+T to view transparent things. It may be transparent and very small.

Was there ever a follow-up? Because the same thing has been happening to me since the 11th!

That message does not sound like it's coming from Second Life. They would not say "Please contact support of your grid". If it comes with something like a link to click to "contact support", don't do it. It's a scam.
