Spooky Ways to Spice Up the Second Life Community Forums

Forums seem dead? How about some constructive ideas?

- Read all the "unread" posts until you feel dead, too! Then you'll find that Second Life has many opportunities for the "undead"!

- Don't resurrect old threads, resurrect old friends and frenemies by paging them into a topic you think they'd like! "Sometimes they come back!"

- Spice up your posts with Spooky-themed references to Second Life! "Everyone" likes a spicy Second Life post!

- Create an Alt just to be more spooky. No one will know for sure! Instead of "Boooooo!!!!", your Alt can say spooky things! For example, quote Stephen King: "We are dead and this is hell!"

- Post about Spooky Events! I've seen spooky posts where you can't tell, is it for real? Why are there multiple posts? It's a Spooky mystery!!

- Flounce quietly. When you come back, everyone will get a Spooky sense of deja vu!

- Most "new" topics are "repeats" of topics from long ago. They are spooky resurrections, and don't even know it!

- Make Spooky predictions about Second Life. This makes a lot of people laugh! Example: Second Life is dying! The Forums are dead!

- Read between the lines to solve Spooky mysteries. For example, see a "sock puppet"? Check your sock drawers, I bet some are missing!

- Make friends with someone "new", and see if they "ghost" you!

If we can't get more people in, we'll just Frankenstein some.  We'll make different personalities, and set them loose on the forums.  Sure, it might be a madhouse, it might be expensive, but it will be entertaining!  We could have games, where we try to figure out who is a bot and who isn't.  Sock accounts, pfffft.. who got time for that nonsense?  We can create our own legions of bots, all trying to outwit one another, having arguments with each other, forming relationships, conspiring with other bots and people on the forums!  

 

Who knows, I could already be a bot!  But, so could you!
