Is there a way to make a sim invisible on the map and/or to avatars?

Nope, not invisible.  All sims are searchable, which means that they will always show up on the global map.  If your sim is a private estate, of course, you can block entry.  And if it's out in the ocean, nobody can fly or boat in either.  So, the best anyone can do is see a bird's eye view of the sim on the map.  Now, if you were to take a 256 x 256m megaprim and float it a couple hundred meters above the surface, that's all that would show on the map. Your sim wouldn't be invisible, but it would be under a big shield, which is almost as good.   Just don't position it more than about 300m up.  I think objects above that don't appear on map view.

A sim can be made invisible... that is an indisuputable fact. Anyone can tp around and find them.  How his is accomplished I dont know.  But, to deny it is to deny cyber reality.
