vanettda Lassard
I'm creating a shuttle that I can live in. It will be a mix between Firefly's companion shuttle and a small Jupiter 2. I have a lot of vertical knowledge in Blender in certain areas, but I'm obviously also missing large parts. I'm about ready to focus on texturing my model. I have UV unwrapped the single object and organized the UV sections that I want to assign to different materials. But now I'm stuck. Is there a way to copy and paste the individual UV sections so they are on a corresponding material? I'm probably thinking about this in a brass ackward way. Any help would be appreciated. Sean Heavy
To assign a specific area of your model to a material in Blender: Select that area of the object in edit mode. In the "Material Properties" tab, select (or create and select) the material to be assigned. Click on the "Assign" button right below the list of materials. Continue for each area/material you want to assign. When exporting to Collada and importing to SL each of those materials can be assigned a different (or the same) image. 1
