  1. A lot of people use Blender to create mesh for SecondLife. There are many tutorials on YouTube. Многие люди используют Blender для создания мешей для SecondLife. На YouTube есть много обучающих программ.
  2. A version of Ruth 2.0, RuthToo, is available as a free download here which should be upload-able to any grid OS or SL: https://github.com/ocsean/RuthToo/tree/master/DAEs/BakesOnMesh You can get full perm copies of RuthToo on OSGrid here: http://login.osgrid.org/Wright Plaza/210/17/21 RuthToo and other Ruth 2.0 versions are here full perm on OSGrid: http://login.osgrid.org/RuthAndRoth/150/138/21 My RuthToo and RothToo can be found on the SecondLife MarketPlace or at my SL shop here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Blumfield/107/176/28 We would love to have more clothes for RuthToo and RothToo. If you let me know when you have something available, I can announce it in the Ruth/Roth group. ~Sean.Heavy
  3. Warning: Seriously off topic. Sorry. Couldn't resist. I think the point was, even a Lada at a car show doesn't bother to have alloy wheels. Although, I think every car deserves to have alloys, even Ladas. This guy agrees :-) Surprisingly though, this Lada Limo only has steel wheels with hubcaps. To each his own.
  4. In order to apply a single arm texture (tattoo or other), you have to have a BoM Mesh Body that supports a left arm channel, (LEFT_ARM_BAKED). Most mesh bodies (in my experience but there are likely exceptions) do not have this support because it doesn't automatically show the full body texture if there is no left arm texture. So, almost every skin texture out there would cause your left arm to not have a skin texture (likely appear gray). There are ways around this issue if you do have a mesh body that supports the left arm channel, but most just don't want to deal with it at all; so, most mesh body makers do not support it.
  5. For reference, you can get a Blender file of RuthTooRC3 here: https://github.com/ocsean/RuthToo/tree/master/BlenderSource/BakesOnMesh Thanks, ~Sean
  6. I would love to have a bracelet for RuthTooRC3 (non-rigged is fine). I'll give it away as a group gift. RuthTooRC3 MarketPlace Examples of Bracelets that would be great! ~Sean
  7. I also get the correct Land Selection page when logged in as a non-premium alt. I'm on Chrome on MacOS Mojave.
  8. Your screenshot does not appear to be the same page as: https://secondlife.com/land/lindenhomes/member.php There are no "My Groups" on that page. Only info about Linden Homes. Unless perhaps it is different when you own a Linden Home.
  9. Screen shot of error while hovering over orange button.
  10. https://secondlife.com//land/lindenhomes/member.php The orange button on that page links to the wrong URL, on my Chrome browser anyway.
  11. https://secondlife.com//land/lindenhomes/member.php On that page on the orange button "Get Your Home Now". Also on the language drop down.
  12. Someone messed up the language selection drop down menu if not more. URL should be this: https://land.secondlife.com/en-us/lindenhomes/land-selection.php ...but it is leaving off the domain name part of it. ~Sean
  13. I would guess this should be reasonably easy to use photogrammetry to scan in a head shot. I would set up a camera on a tripod at head level. Then, I would have a helper to snap photos as I slowly spin around on a swiveling bar stool. Then do the same with the camera set higher on the tripod and pointing down toward your head. You should not have to be still since the software can handle shots from various angles. I believe the difficult part will be lighting. You don't want any reflections or shiny spots on your face or head because that often confuses the photogrammetry software. The background should be as simple as possible, like a plain gray wall. As said above, you will want to do some serious cleanup of the resulting mesh; it will be much too messy and complicated for SL as is. It will also be a lot of work getting the Bento details applied and working well. But it sounds like fun; I may do it myself. There is a pretty good Meshroom tutorial on YouTube here: ~Sean Heavy
  14. You can get UV Templates/Maps by Robin Wood here: https://www.robinwood.com/Catalog/Technical/SL-Tuts/SLPages/AVUVTemplates.html They will be the most basic of templates, but will get you started. You will likely have to make minor adjustments to your tattoos for each specific body (Legacy). You might be able to view the textures for free, without uploading them, using the Firestorm local textures feature shown here: https://sldesigner.wordpress.com/local-textures/ ~Sean Heavy
  15. I'm not sure if these are any better, but Roth2 heads are LL UV compatible. https://github.com/RuthAndRoth/Roth2/tree/master/Mesh ~Sean
  16. I have a youtube video that shows how to upload in world. It uploads a mesh avatar, but uploading clothes would about the same process. If you login to the beta/preview grid, all uploads are free. Details here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Preview_Grid Unfortunately, all avatars, especially mesh avatars have different shapes and sizes. You would need to know which avatar your clothes are intended to fit. Then find an example of that avatar that you can download and use in your 3d software. Most are called "Dev Kits" (3d models), which are often very difficult to get a copy of unless you are an established clothing creator in SL. Some, like the above example RuthToo are easy and free to get a Dev Kit/3d model. There are quite a few YouTube videos on how to create, rig, and upload clothing to SL, but it is not a simple process. You have a good head start in being able to create 3d objects. Rigging and sizing will be your next learning curve. ~Sean
  17. If you login to the Beta/Preview grid, everything is free to upload, textures, mesh, animations, etc. (It actually uses L$'s, but LL gives you a bunch extra on the Preview grid and it doesn't affect your real L$s.) It's where I do almost all of my testing. Here is a link to the SL page about it: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Preview_Grid ~Sean Heavy
  18. Is it like Schrödinger's Cat? Does the prim exist or not exist? We will never know until it is rezzed.
  19. This may be a bit off topic, but here goes: My preference would be a new smaller continent that is set up like Bellisseria except that it is configured for mom & pop shops, i.e. commercial with provided buildings and limits similar to Bellisseria. It could even have various themes based on types of shopping areas in the world like malls, city shopping districts, rural farmers markets, etc. It could be setup similar to how you would rent space in other shopping areas in SL, but it would be yours and you would not have to worry if the owner decided to sell or leave SL (can you tell I experienced this more than once?). And it would be a known shopping area for everyone in SL. I tend not to have or use a "home" in SL, but I would love a provided location that I can have my shop instead of wherever in the wild west of open land.
  20. Does not work for me. 😞 I am currently a Premium member and I don't get the option for Premium PrePay. Edit: My current membership renewal date: 02-25-2021. @Linden Lab
  21. This makes complete sense! Thank you @Whirly Fizzle! The problem just got cut to a third of what it was before. Any idea about this third "NO RESULTS FOUND" Resident? https://gyazo.com/e4129f1e9dbfcd77e5837088a1caf030 The search URL for that username fails: https://search.secondlife.com/client_search.php?s=People&t=N&q=<username> But the FireStorm in-world search works fine as can be seen in the Gyazo.
  22. I'm not sure I've ever seen a profile flagged as adult, but in any case, none of these have anything indicating they are flagged adult, once I am able to open the profile. And they are certainly not adult oriented in any way, i.e. photos or groups. The only idea I can think is a privacy setting that prevents your profile from showing up in searches. I'm not sure why that would prevent it from showing up with a direct link to it. Here are 2 of them that I can't even get the profile inside SL unless I am trying to add them to my group. When I do a people search for them, it comes up 'not found' even if I have 'adult' checked. https://gyazo.com/71e1556c776888ae6bcca8ce1e7b1e1b https://gyazo.com/1ee14ab365f35f79022556be19e8dbad I am leaning towards just having my application spit out a list of usernames that are 'not found' residents that I can copy into a notecard in SL. That notecard could be read by an LSL script that would get the UUIDs and spit out the SQL I can use to update my database with the UUIDs. That, hopefully, would not be quite as error prone as doing it completely manually. And, LSL has functions that will return UUIDs.
  23. When editing an object, like a head, the BoM checkbox only appears when the object is attached to your avatar, not when rezzed on the ground (in edit mode). It will be in the textures tab.
  24. I am not doing this inside Second Life; so I don't have access to LSL. This is a web server in my office that I am connecting to SL web sites to update my home database with UUIDs of my customers. I am doing something similar to this: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/User:Jor3l_Boa/PHP/n2k.php
