One of the most common causes is that something you are wearing upon login is corrupted or missing from the database.

Try a character reset (wear one of the starter avatars).  If that fixes the problem, then the above is correct. You can try re-wearing each item from your previous outfit one at a time until you identify what's broken or missing, and replace that thing with something else.

If switching to a starter avatar does not help, look at your internet service connection, download speed, ping time. If you're on wireless, get an ethernet cable and plug into your router.
