Starlight Harbour
Is there any way short of going through HTTP for an LSL script to communicate with a Python program? I found notes from 2008 on pyOGP but that seems to be abandoned.
Wulfie Reanimator
I don't think so, the only way for scripts to communicate out of SL is via HTTP. All scripts are running on LL's servers after all, so it's not like they could just talk to a process ID on your computer. Nikkesa
Interestingly the new puppetry system basically provides an entire python-based animation framework which executes the python plugin from a separate process and communicates with the viewer process.
