I'm using eep to eliminate all lights,  which works fine, but I'm working on an item in SL for the no lights, but have hit me a snag.   the prim, it's set full shine

but where is that light coming from?  there are zero lights, nothing reflecting.

It doesn't need anything to reflect, since it's just a simplified fake effect.🙂

Specifically it looks like the "horizon line" of the reflection map is always drawn regardless of lighting information. Other highlights become more or less intense with sunlight (and sunlight only).
