'Public Domain' for items

Just curious, If a creator hasn't been on SL for some time and no longer have an account, do the restrictions on what they created still apply? I.E. "do not share with others". etc. Would that still apply?

As a closed account CAN be reactivated,  who gets to decide whose stuff everyone gets and after how much time?

 

Re-activating a canceled account

If you have canceled your account, you may be able to restore it, depending on how long ago it was cancelled.

Warning: While we do our best to reactivate older accounts fully, in some cases the associated inventory, land, and Linden dollar balance may be unrecoverable.

I must admit I'm curious to see how LL would word the TOS amendment if they adopted this idea.  What's a polite and non-controversial way of saying "By distributing any of your creations in Second Life you are automatically agreeing to provide ongoing support in perpetuity and failure to do so in a timely manner may result in the loss of any rights you may have to any intellectual property hosted on the platform."? 🤔

I'm also curious as to what the general reaction from SL content creators would be, I suspect it would make for a lively few days on the forums!
