Can I Derender Objects with the Second Life Viewer?

This question probably exists somewhere here but I can't bring it up in search. Can I de-render objects with the Second Life Viewer - even temporarily? If so - how? Thanks in advance.

No, you can not.

There is no derender of any kind in the Linden viewer.

You will need a third party viewer - https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory

I think they all have derender in some form, although the specifics of how and where might differ.

Well, THAT's too bad. Firestorm is sluggish for me, but I own land on the Mainland. The ability to de-render is a survival skill there. So back to Firestorm. Thanks Rowan.

There are other viewers on the list ... *waves her hand jedi like* ... try Catznip ..

Well, so far so good. Loaded Catznip no problem. Textures loaded fast and the permanent de-render function is faster and easier than Firestorm! Thanks very much Coffee!!
