My text does not come out the same as the program within the SL

I can not understand, I create my text within Maya, so I save in DAE format. when I take to the SL and upload, it's totally different. within the program you can notice the thickness of the text, a small thickness, and when I load into the SL, the text is with a much larger thickness, How do I fix it? make it look the same as the program?

Perhaps you are trying to give it a dimension that is smaller than the minimum allowable in SL.  If so, the system will automatically redimension it to use the minimum instead.  See https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Limits.
