Region is currently hiring an Events Manager. Potential applicants should be a passionate and responsible individual, who has time to oversee our events (small and large) and work with the upper management team to create successful and interactive experiences for members and visitors.

Responsibilities of an event manager for the Region brand include: 

  • Hosting events  
  • Managing events  
  • Hiring individuals to host events
  • Creating/Planning Events with Management
  • Advertising Events
 
Responsibilities may also include the ability to type literate and detailed blogs about said events that are to be hosted.
The Event Planner will work with the upper management staff to create and run events. The Chief of Events will be required to have an event hosted every other week. This is a Management position - a passion for your work, and a desire to accomplish a goal is required. There will be an interview process. Payment is currently L$ 4000 a Month; May increase or decrease in time, depending on the success of events. Applicants must be willing to use their own pay to help advertise and hire individuals. There will be a one week non-paid training process to ensure that you understand and are able to do the position, as well as learn the ins and outs of the Region Brand.

What exactly is The Region?  What type of events are planned?  Is this a live music venue or a dance club?   It seems like a lot to expect for 1000L a week ($4) especially when requiring them to pay for YOUR advertising out of that.  By using their own pay to hire individuals do you mean they have to pay other employees out of their $4 a week?

These are fantastic questions. I apologize, when I had this post written up it was more for our discord community that when translated to forums, makes a lot-less sense haha.  The Region is a cyberpunk/alternative themed, business featuring: a Club/Lounge, Scenic Park (With Linden Fishing), Dressing Sandbox, Retail properties, Open Venue locations, Shopping Plaza and much more! Owned by Valorco(thePoster) and myself. We're welcoming to all organisms that may walk the city, and are especially helpful to new users. The community is brand-new so we like to help and give back to newer users as well.

We're looking to host live events such as; djs, open mic events, Poets/Comedian nights, book clubs and the like. Brainstorming events will be part of the job position as we'd be happy to help plan and come up with events to run with our COE and event management. We already host a few events here and there, like;  an Easter Egg hunt, Discount Days for Real Estate properties, Grand openings, Live Dj nights. We're more so looking for someone who would be willing to manage or come up with these events. Most of these Live events are tip based, but if you were looking to commission someone for any particular reason it would have to come from the current pay that we give you. This is only because we are a brand new establishment. As we grow we would like to hire full time performers and the like under our own paying dime, but right now that's just not an option as the salary we currently use from our events is going to managing the sims. The only real payments that may be needed, though cheap, would be advertising, but there are plenty of places to advertise for free. You will not personally be required to pay any individuals hired by the company, only individuals you specifically hire for you own means. (This does not include assistant management or anything like that.) 

This is a base pay that we're offering and upon our growth and your fantastic working performance we're happy to pay more in the long run as we advance together.
