region connection problem

When entering an SL or teleporting to another region, there are often problems connecting the region. I have to change the region when logging into SL, only after a few attempts I can log in. when teleporting, I just fly out

I am having the same problem or at least a similar problem. When I tp from region to region I am fine so long as I have never visited that region during that session. If I say start at home and tp to several regions I have not visited during that session I am fine. If i then try to tp back home or to any region I have visited during that session. I get "connecting to new region" and the session times and throws me out of SL. This also happens if I am sailing the Blake sea and try to go back to my home starting point ( one of my parcels) the whole region will have disappeared, like trying to TP back to it, and i will also get logged out of SL. I had this problem from October through December 25th. The problem cleared up for a while but about 2 weeks ago it suddenly reappeared. I worked with Support on the original problem. They offered no solution. I found the logs in firestorm and found that the problem is that the region is timing out on pings. This problem will occur on an several computers, ondifferent viewers (SL, Singularity, Alchemy, and Firestorm). It also occurs for my alts. Sofar i have found no solution and support seems to be of no help what so ever.

Problems like those above can be caused by your home router not being able to handle the volume of UDP traffic being sent and received by the viewer. Have you tried power cycling your cable modem and/or router?
