For some people it can lead to friends yes, but not with all. For some you will still be nothing more then causal play partners that neither care or worry about each other any more than what you had for breakfast three weeks ago last tuesday.

Some start of as play partners and then they play so much that rl becomes second life and second life becomes rl then they make pixels and life as we know it
