trouble with hearing other avatars

we are unable to hear each other's avatars in Glidden Campus? we have already checked Me, Preference, Sound and Media, and made sure we have turned on the settings for sounds and that our headset appears in the input/output devices

what else can we try?

Welcome to the Second Life forums, Sarae.

Check the land details to see what is allowed by the sim owner.  Some sims don't allow "voice" to be used.

Are you all using Viewer 2? There might be specific issues currently with voice on Viewer 2 (a Viewer 2 user will be able to advise further. I am using Phoenix and having no issues currently.)
