I recently bought the second life book, however I have been registered for over a year, and I do not want to re-register just to get the free stuff off of the disk. Is there a way to use the promo code without having to create a new account?

You buy the book, paying good money for it and then the publisher restricts free items on the disk to under 30-day accounts! I think I'd be having worrds with the publisher.

To be honest though, ask yourself what the potential usefulness of the free stuff you can't access would be given that you've been in Second Life for a year. You can pick up most things free inworld from AOs to clothes to cars to just about anything you can think of.

Create an alt, get the free stuff, open them, laugh at them, delete them and go back to your usual account

If they are full perm freebies you might even be able to send them to your main account.
