Find any of the videos of people building in Sony "Dreams". Take a good look at the user interface. Now that's what state of the art creation tools look like.

On a Playstation 4, no less.

SL has some serious catching up to do. It's a common complaint from new users that SL mesh is too hard. This is a demonstration that it doesn't have to be.

To include an actual example:

Considering that the interface is designed for a TV/controller, I guess it's fine, whatever, but personally I feel the UI is vague and confusing. I couldn't guess what half of these buttons do:

Motion controls for placing objects seems like a clever idea, but not very practical for PC and mouse/keyboard.

I'm not sure how I feel about world-space UI like the animation properties and music editor: (Though the editors themselves are really neat.)

But overall the amount of stuff they've hidden away until it's actually needed is impressive, but that's a criticism I would rather aim at Blender than LL.
