buying lindens

I just bought lindens the other day with my debt card and it was fine. Today i bought lindens and it hasnt showed my lindens that i just bought. why is this?

You got lucky the first time.  Linden Lab almost never accepts debit cards.  Use an authorized credit card or a verified PayPal or Skrill account.

EDIT: Or, I suppose you might have bought L$ with the Market Buy option the first time and then placed a Limit Buy order just now.  In that case, you might have to wait a while, especially if you made a really unrealistic offer to buy.  Always make your offer no more than L$ different from the current market price if you want to have the transaction take less than a few days.
