having marketplace age restriction problems

I'm having problems with people gifting me adult content from the marketplace. It says that they're unable to send me this because of an age restriction. Although I can go to adult content sims and use and buy adult things in world and on marketplace. Also in my viewer I can't search adult content in the general search, but when I go to the location search I can. I've unsellected and resellected the general, moderate, adult tabs a hundred times in the viewer. I've had this account forever and I don't think I've run into this problem before. Or maybe it's always been there and I just never noticed.
