Helios Telling
My Sim is located in Scotland Inverbeg 101.40.23. Every day there are very large splotches (10 to 15 meters) that appear. They move to different places during the day. They are very ugly and I would like to know how to get rid of them. Thanks,Helios Telling
0 Venus Petrov
Yes, sometimes terrain will change color. Check out the ground textures tab in the World > Region/Estate box as well as this link http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Estate_Menu#Ground_Textures_Tab I used to live on a beach parcel where the sand would occasionally sprout grassy spots that would change periodically. 0 Peewee Musytari
There are 4 layers of texture on terrain which then have settings for different levels, the layers get blended within the range of the settings causing that "natural" look. Because of the blending, different people will see an overall blend differently everytime they login or TP in & out. If the textures are chosen well, you don`t always notice these changes, but if they are very different textures, like one very light next to a very dark one, they can show up much more. You can look on the Region/Estate settings from the world menu, on the Ground textures tab and see the 4 textures on your sim, you will probably find that the brown is one of them. Only the owner can change it (or estate manager), by choosing textures and levels that blend together better.
