Question

I have a website, a domain, a reasonable quick (remote) server.

AFAIK shoutcast and Icecast require a unique IP and a dedicated (virtual) server. That I don't have. Is it possivle to stream using a normal website? If so, how?

Without having 40 IP's hanging on my home PC bringing me to Lag Hell.

Most Website hosting accounts do not allow streaming unless you pay for a dedicated streaming package.

You would have to check with the hosting service you purchase.

You can get pretty cheap Streaming services in world. 10 dollars a month for 50 users.

Search in world for Shoutcast Streaming Services

I think I pay 1500 Lindens a month for my streaming service and it is very relyable.  They also have smaller packages for 20 users etc

A server is a server.  Streaming doesn't need a unique IP, just a URL like anything else.

Trouble is, what's your upload bandwidth?  Every single person downloading your stream at 1Mbps means you need to be able to upload at that rate.  10 people streaming from your server means 10Mbps, etc.  THAT's why streaming servers tend to be dedicated to the task.
