There are many land for rent options out there either private island or mainland. Also, it depends on how many prims you need... you can even just rent a skydome or platform that will give you the space you need and can customize your rental price depending on your prims need. However, "purchasing" land on a private estate is ALSO a form of renting, even though most estate owners call it a purchase.
