Hello, I have a mac, graphics card AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB - am I out of luck?

Truthfully, no, but you will have to run at greatly reduced settings, and might also need to optimise your Mac by shutting down any and all unneeded background processes.

 

The Min Specs, are a guide to what LL *think* is an acceptable machine for what LL *think* is an acceptable settings level, not a cast iron guarantee you can't use SL, 

 

Even an old old machine with reduced settings is still often better than using , for example, a mobile phone to access SL

 

That said, if you can upgrade the graphics card, do, and choose nvidia for best SL compatibility

You are only out of luck, if its below the minimum requirements. Recommendation is only there to give you an idea what type of hardware will give you an average performance. But why not put your system to the test and try to run Second Life? The viewer is quickly installed and you could try how it goes on low graphic settings.
